Sweet Slick and Slide — also styled Sweet Slick and Sly and known as Triple S — was one of Jersey City's dominant hip-hop crews of the 1980s and early 1990s, founded by Lord Sun Albee Al.

By the accounts of peers, it was one of only two Chilltown crews — with the Tranquilizing Three — considered strong enough to battle the celebrated crews of New York, and it toured widely along the East Coast.
Its members included Jimmy Mack, Warren "Warm Daddy" Pray, the DJ Victor Quick, and Sugar Ray; founder Lord Sun Albee Al anchored a hip-hop family whose next generations include his children DJ Thunderkatt, the rapper Albee Al, and J-Sass, and his nephew DJ E Double.
Their hit was It's Magic, named on a period breakin contest flyer that pictures the crew doing it, preserved in this archive.
A period flyer bills them at The Showdown For All DJs at the Benmore Skating Rink on Communipaw Avenue alongside Strang D, Jimmy M, Al Bee, Capone, Sir Brown, and the era's crews.
Community tribute from the Stegman Street block, their home ground, credits the crew as the first to bring Doug E. Fresh to Jersey City, at the Armory, when he had only one single out.
