The Tranquilizing Three (also Tranquilizer 3) were an early Jersey City hip-hop crew out of the Duncan Projects, formed around 1980 from the earlier group Phase Three.

Alongside Sweet Slick and Slide, they were regarded as one of the two Chilltown crews good enough to hold their own against New York's crews, and they secured one of the scene's earliest record deals.
Members associated with the group across its run include Joey Time, Shaz, the DJ Razelle, and Cash Money.
