The Jersey City Sound documents people and institutions from public record, published works, recordings, and community documentation, in a neutral encyclopedic voice. Our aim is accuracy and fairness. If an entry is wrong, incomplete, or something you would like changed or removed, we want to hear from you.
Requesting a correction§
Use the suggest-an-edit form, or email corrections@jerseycitysound.com. Tell us the entry and what is inaccurate, and — where you can — point us to a source. We review in good faith and update cited facts. Verifiable corrections are the fastest to publish.
Requesting a removal§
Email corrections@jerseycitysound.com and tell us which entry and why. We weigh each request in good faith, balancing the archive's documentary and historical purpose against your request. In particular:
• We will correct or remove information that is inaccurate, unverifiable, or presented unfairly.
• For private individuals, or sensitive personal details, we will remove or de-identify on reasonable request.
• For public figures documented from public sources, the entry may remain as a matter of record, but we will always correct inaccuracies and consider reasonable adjustments.
Families & memorial entries§
The Legends wing honors people who have passed. Family members and estates may request corrections, additions, or removal of a memorial entry, and we will honor good-faith requests with care and respect.
Our commitment§
We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and resolve them within a reasonable time. We do not charge for corrections or removals, and we do not require you to explain more than you are comfortable sharing. This policy is part of what makes the archive a record you can trust.
