Money Train Entertainment is a Jersey City media, event-production, and artist-management collective founded by entrepreneur and marketing executive Shakim Thompson.
In the Record§
Rooted in the nightlife culture of Jersey City and the wider North Jersey and New York metropolitan area, the company built a reputation for dominating regional street promotion, growing from high-energy parties across the city into a full-scale entertainment network.
Money Train hosted the Winter Blaze DJ Battle — the area’s first premier seasonal turntablist competition — pitting elite regional DJs against each other live.
Thompson expanded the brand into media with a music-and-lifestyle television show on Channel 51 (Comcast) reaching some 2.5 million residents; filmed and directed by WizTV, it featured major recording artists while spotlighting the turntablism of DJ Wizard and the blends of DJ DX, bridging street culture and mainstream television.
