DJ Count Basil, also known as Brutha Basil, is a house music DJ and producer originally from Jersey City, deeply connected to the New York and New Jersey club scenes, with past residencies at iconic venues including the Paradise Garage, Nell’s, and the Sound Factory.

As a producer he is known for classic tracks such as “City Streets” and “Hardhaus II” on the influential Nu Groove label, and he is celebrated for his deep, classic, and soulful house sets.
