Jarrett Cordes, billed as DJ Minutemix, was the DJ and co-producer of PM Dawn, the Jersey City duo he founded in 1988 with his older brother Attrell Cordes.

The brothers were raised in Jersey City by their mother and their stepfather George Brown, the founding drummer of Kool & the Gang, after the death of their father.
PM Dawn's first demo was cut with six hundred dollars his brother earned working security, and was turned down by Tommy Boy Records before the group signed elsewhere.
Their single “Set Adrift on Memory Bliss” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of November 30, 1991, the first chart-topper of the Nielsen SoundScan era, and No. 3 in the United Kingdom.
He left the group after the brothers appeared on NBC's Hit Me, Baby, One More Time in 2005.
