Harold Campbell Adamson (December 10, 1906 -- August 17, 1980) was an American lyricist born in Greenville, New Jersey, who became one of the most prolific popular songwriters of the mid-twentieth century.

He collaborated with composers including Jimmy McHugh, Burton Lane, and Hoagy Carmichael, writing lyrics for films, Broadway productions, and recordings across more than three decades.
His songs include 'Around the World', 'Everything I Have Is Yours', and 'Time on My Hands', featured in Hollywood productions from the 1930s through the 1960s.
