Musician

Frank Sinatra Jr. (January 10, 1944 -- March 16, 2016) was an American singer and musician, the son of Frank Sinatra, who spent much of his career as his father's musical director and conductor.

In the Record§

He was kidnapped in December 1963 and held for ransom for several days before being released unharmed, an event that made national headlines and briefly overshadowed his early career.

As a performer and conductor he carried the Great American Songbook tradition forward, touring extensively as both a solo artist and his father's musical director from the 1980s until his death.
